Vice President of Electrification and Member Experience
Beltrami Electric Cooperative is seeking a highly skilled, motivated and exceptional leader to join our progressive and growing organization. This executive-level position, available due to a pending retirement, reports directly to the President/CEO and plays a strategic role in shaping the cooperative’s strategy, energy programs, services, and member experience.
The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, collaborator and perpetual optimist, capable of building relationships across departments, with members, and with external stakeholders including legislators and regulatory bodies. This role requires a forward-thinking leader who can translate complex energy initiatives into clear, actionable strategies that enhance member value and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities

Enhance Energy Programs: Identify and expand electrification, energy efficiency and load management programs to meet evolving member needs.

Innovate and Launch New Initiatives: Develop and implement programs for electric transportation (EVs), building electrification, and other beneficial electrification efforts.

Drive Strategic Growth: Identify new revenue opportunities and analyze rate design to support load growth and grid reliability.

Legislative & Regulatory Advocacy: Represent the cooperative in legislative, regulatory, and economic development discussions, advocating for policies that support our mission and members.

Enhance Member Experience: Establish and lead initiatives that improve member satisfaction, engagement, and overall experience.

Lead Communications Strategy: Oversee advertising, public relations, and marketing efforts to ensure consistent, impactful messaging.

Manage Key Accounts: Lead the cooperative’s key accounts program, ensuring responsive service and strategic support.

Department Leadership: Guide the Electrification and Member Experience team to align with cooperative goals and foster a culture of innovation and service.
Qualifications

Minimum of eight (8) years of leadership experience in the utility industry, with a focus on energy programs and member services.

Bachelor’s degree or certificate from college or technical school in related field required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced degree in related field preferred.

At least five (5) years of supervisory experience.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal teams, members, and external stakeholders.

Proven ability to advocate and influence in legislative and regulatory environments.
