Thanks to the tireless efforts of lineworkers, support staff, and mutual aid from five sister cooperatives, fewer than 20 Beltrami Electric members remain without power this evening.
But some of the toughest work lies ahead. The areas without power include severe damage, tangled debris, and remote locations that demand precision, perseverance, and teamwork. Beltrami Electric is grateful for the continued patience and support as crews close in on restoring power to everyone still out.
At its peak early Saturday morning, more than 19,200 co-op members were without power after a powerful storm, with winds equivalent to a Category 3 Hurricane, tore through the region.
BEC tracks real-time restoration updates on its outage map at: www.beltramielectric.com or through this link: Web Outage Viewer. Members should call 1-800-955-6083 to report an outage.
Co-op members without power and in need of assistance are urged to contact the United Way of Bemidji Area or Disaster Recovery | United Way of Bemidji Area, which is coordinating disaster relief efforts across Beltrami County.
